Another week gone by - and another progress update from the two major construction sites in the Walt Disney Studios. From a distance the Tower of Terror doesn't look as if any progress has been made, 
but a close up shows, that wort on the additional floor of the entrance complex has progress and its wall, which last week was just set up on the front, now also extends to the sites already. But there are also some changes to the very top of the Tower. In the last weeks already a temporary structure had been set up around the very top of the tower to allow construction workers to move around and continue their work. Now that work has started and as can be seen in the shots of the top additional walls have gone up adding what looks like at least a half of another floor to the height of the building! These walls though are not yet up all around the tower so they might be part of the final roof structure.
As if this wasn't enough there is also some exciting news to report from the Toon Studios construction site (and its not the Cars ride, for which no work seems to have started yet), but once again the Turtle Twister. Steel structure elements are starting to go up around the coaster, so expect the walls of the soundstage to block the view in the not too distant future. 
In fact what looks like the first element of a steel frame for the roof of the soundstage is already assembled on the ground behind the future soundstage (not seen in the shots). At the coaster track in the meantime some wooden boxes have appeared in several locations, which could protect / hide mechanical elements already installed there as e.g. motors for the chain-lift-hill and breaks. Also work on the dark ride section and station continues. Currently the gap between the different building is filled with earth again and some strange structures go up in the very first / front building. So don't forget to check back for more updates in which hopefully some of the riddles are revealed...

Und wieder ist eine Woche vorbei und damit ist es Zeit für ein Update zu den Fortschritten auf den beiden Großbaustellen der Walt Disney Studios. Aus der Entfernung sieht der Tower of Terror so aus, als habe es keinen sichtbaren Fortschritt gegeben, doch bei genauerem Hinsehen ist zu erkennen, dass die Wand für das neue Stockwerk des Eingangskomplexes, die vergangene Woche nur an der Front stand, sich nun auch bereits auf eine Seite zieht. Außerdem gibt es Fortschritte von den höchsten Punkten des Towers zu vermelden. Nachdem in den vergangenen Wochen ein temporäres Gerüst rund um die obere Etage errichtet wurde, setzen die Bauarbeiter dort nun ihre Arbeiten fort. Wie in den Photos zu erkennen wurde neue Wände aufgesetzt, die dem Tower eine zusätzliche Höhe von wenigstens einem halben Stockwerk verleihen. Bisher allerdings sind die Wände nicht durchgängig, so dass es sich auch um Stücke der zukünftigen Dachkonstruktion handeln könnte.
Als wäre das noch nicht genug, gibt es auch interessante Meldungen aus den zukünftigen Toon Studios - allerdings nicht von der Cars Attraktion, für die scheinbar noch immer keine Vorarbeiten begonnen haben, sondern wieder vom Turtle Twister. Dort tauchen jetzt erste Stahlelemente rund um den Achterbahn-Track auf, so dass wohl bald die ersten Wände den Blick auf die Bahn verstellen werden. Hinter der zukünftigen Halle wird zudem ein Stahlskelett auf dem Boden montiert, bei dem es sich um einen ersten teil der zukünftigen Dachkonstruktion handeln könnte. 
An der Strecke selbst sind zwischenzeitlich verschiedene Holzkästen angebracht worden, die wohl mechanische Elemente schützen / verbergen sollen - ausgehend von der Positionierung könnte es sich z.B. um den Motor des Kettenlifts oder Bremselemente handeln. Aber auch die Arbeiten an der Station und dem zukünftigen Dark-Ride-Abschnitt machen Fortschritte. Zur Zeit wird auch der Bereich zwischen den einzelnen Gebäuden wieder mit Erde aufgefüllt. Im vordersten Gebäude entstehen derweil seltsame Elemente. Also auf keinen Fall das nächste Update verpassen, indem hoffentlich schon die ersten Rätsel gelöst werden können...
