Als Walt Disney Disneyland erschuf wollte er die Möglichkeit haben seine Geschichten dreidimensional erzählen zu können. Er konnte die Sets für diese Geschichten bauen - doch ein gewisses Element fehlte noch: die Figuren.

Erinnern Sie sich noch an das alte Gerücht, Disneyland Resort Paris hätte angeblich ein komplettes Set der Audioanimatronics aus dem Country Bear Playhouse in Disneyland Anaheim erworben, als die Show (genauer: die Shows, da die Show in zwei Theatern identisch präsentiert wurde) für eine neue Winnie the Pooh Darkride Platz machen musste?
Nun, "PariartsPaul" alias Paul Torrigino hat nun einen Kommentar im Blog Re-Imagineering veröffentlicht, dem zu Folge das Management in Anaheim ursprünglich die Figuren zerlegen wollte und nur noch verwendbare Teile im Park einsetzen wollte. Er berichtet allerdings, dass es ihm gelungen sei, das Management zu überzeugen, nur mit einem Set der Figuren so zu verfahren, dass andere aber für eine zukünftige Verwendung einzulagern. Er geht davon aus, dass die Audioanimatronics noch immer ohne ihre Pelze in Tujunga eingelagert sind.
Ausgehend von diesem Posting scheint sich das Gerücht, DLRP habe die Figuren erworben, nun leider nur als Gerücht zu erweisen. Natürlich nur, sofern DLRP nicht die Audioanimatronics aus Tujunga erhalten hätte oder das zweite Set doch nicht zerlegt wurde. Allerdings gibt es dafür keine Hinweise und bis heute gibt es keine Sichtungen der Figuren in Paris oder sonstige Bestätigungen des Gerüchts.
Paul Torrigino übrigens arbeitete 21 Jahre als Imagineer und war unter anderem auch an der Entwicklung des Disneyland Resort Paris beteiligt. Laut seiner Website war er Art Director für "hunderte Figuren" for DLRP (auf seiner Website werden Figuren aus Alice's Curious Labyrinth und der Snow White Darkride sowie die Mouse von Mad Hatter's Tea Party und die Figuren aus Phantim Manore als Beispiele genannt), war Art Director für die Produktion der Fiberglas-Pferde des Carousel de Lancelt und entwarf ihre Bemalungen, sowie wirkte an der Realisation weiterer Attraktionen wie Peter Pan's Flight und Pirates of the Caribbean in Paris mit.
Do you remember the old rumor that Disneyland Resort Paris allegedly had acquired one set of Audioanimatronics from the Country Bear Playhouse in Disneyland Anaheim, when the show (or shows, since the show was presented identically in two theaters) was closed down to make room for a new Winnie the Pooh darkride?
Well, "PariartsPaul" aka Paul Torrigino posted a comment on the blog Re-Imagineering, in which he states that the management in Anaheim originally wanted to "trash" the Audioanimatronics and only "usable parts would be salvaged for use in the park". 
He further states that he was able to convince management to treat only one of the two sets of Audioanimatronics this way, but to save the other set and store it for future use. According to his information, these Audioanimatronics still sit in a warehouse in Tujunga, stripped of their fur.
Based on this information it seems the rumor that DLRP actually acquired one set of the Audioanimatronics seems to have been just that - a rumor. Unless DLRP received the Audioanimatronics stored originally in Tujunga or the second set wasn't trashed at all. But then there are no indications for this and so far noone was ever reported to have seen the Audioanimatronics in DLRP or confirmed the original DLRP-rumor.
