After yesterday's look at the summer season in the Disneyland Park today we move the focus to the endless summer party which the Disney Village is promising once again. As it is already tradition, the Disney Village will have numerous special events even before the Disneyland Park kicks into high gear for the summer season.
Take for example this month - May. How better to start a summer season then by bringing in the atmosphere from the tropical islands? On the weekend of May 27 & 28 the Disney Village stages its first ever Polynesian Festival complete with wakeboard and beach volleyball demonstration by pro-athlets and the opportunity for guests to try their beach volleyball or kayak skills for free. Polynesian arts and crafts will be demonstrated (and certainly sold) as well. As usual in the Disney Village access to the event is free of any charge.
With the summer getting closer to Paris the heat is further turned up with the annual Xtra Latina Festival on June 10 and 11. It features free live concerts of the two latin music bands Manimal and Chaworo in Billy Bob's, hot street entertainment and the Fiesta Caliente disco night in the nightclub Hurricanes (the latter the only event requiring an entrance fee).
Already back since May 1st is "Le Petit Circque", which proofed popular with the youngest guests in the last years. The small Disney Village circus featuring clowns, juggling artists and other small acrobatics for children is setting up its temporary open air ring every weekend for two daily performances (and will perform nearly daily in July and August).
Since soccer fans around the globe will be chained to their tv sets for the world championship from June 9 till July 9 the Disney Village will provide the Disney Village Stadium featuring live transmission of the games on a large screen, live music and special animation to help all fans who are visiting the resort during the championship. In the past these events were extremly popular not only with Resort guests but also with locals due to their peaceful but exciting atmosphere allowing to watch the matches with fellow fans, many of them decked out in the colors of their teams.
Certainly throughout the summer additional free concerts (in addition to the free concerts every weekend in Billy Bob's) and street entertainment will liven up the Disney Village. And for party fans there is always the Hurricanes nightclub with numerous theme nights and now till the end of September the party in the Sports Bar every Friday with DJ Stéphane K as of 8.00 pm. Also this is the first summer season for the Village since it has begun to undergo major changes as the demolition of the huge columns in the first half, which have been replaced with planters and seeting areas, as well as the addition of colorful light-baloons - creating a new atmosphere even for return guests and fans.

Nach dem gestrigen Ausblick auf die Sommersaison Disneyland Park steht heute das Disney Village an, in dem auch dieses Jahr wieder Party für jedermann angesagt ist. Wie auch in der Vergangenheit bietet das Disney Village dabei auch außerhalb der Sommersaison ein volles Programm.
Nehmen wir zum Beispiel diesen Monat - Mai. Wie könnte man besser den Sommer einleuten als mit tropischen Temperaturen und entsprechender Stimmung? Genau das ist für das Wochenende des 27. & 28. Mai vorgesehen, an dem das Disney Village erstmals das Polynesian Festival veranstaltet - komplett mit Wakeboard und Beach Volleyball Vorführungen professioneller Sportler und der Möglichkeit für Gäste kostenlos ihre Fähigkeiten in Kayaks und auf den Sand-Courts zu prüfen unter professioneller Anleitung. Außerdem sorgen polinesische Kunsthandwerker mit Demostrationen ihrer Arbeit (und der Möglichkeit diese zu erwerben) für zusätzliche Atmosphäre. Wie immer bei diesen Events ist das ganze natürlich kostenlos.
Je näher der Sommer rückt, desto heißer werden die Events - so am 10. und 11. Juni das jährliche Xtra Latina Festival. Schon bereits seit 1. Mai ist mit "Le Petit Circque" ein weiterer Klassiker in das Disney Village zurückgekehrt, der in den vergangenen Jahren bei den jüngsten Gästen sehr beliebt war. Vorerst nur an den Wochenenden (im Juli und August aber nahezu täglich) wird die open-air Manege des kleinen Disney Village Circus mit Clowns, Jonglage und kleiner Akrobatik die Gäste unterhalten.
Natürlich hat das Village auch an die Fussball-Fans gedacht und bietet ihnen vom 9. Juni bis 9. Juli während der Weltmeisterschaft im Disney Village Stadium die Gelegenheit die Spiele live auf einer Großbildleinwand zu verfolgen, live Musik und Animation zu genießen. In der Vergangenheit war dieses Angebot sowohl bei Gästen des Resorts als auch Anwohnern sehr beliebt, ob der tollen, friedlichen Atmosphäre.
Während des ganzen Sommers wird das Angebot noch um weitere, kostenlose Konzerte (zusätzlich zu den rund ums Jahr an den Wochenenden im Billy Bob's stattfindenden Konzerten) und Entertainment auf den Straßen des Disney Village erweitert. Für Party-Fans gibt es außerdem natürlich den täglich geöffneten Nightclub Hurricanes mit regelmäßigen Themennächten und noch bis Ende September jeden Freitag ab 20.00 Uhr die Party in der Sports bar mit DJ Stéphane K. Außerdem steht dieses Jahr die erste Sommersaison des Disney Village an, seitdem die große Umgestaltung begonnen hat mit der Entfernung der Säulen im vorderen Bereich (die durch Sitzgelegenheiten und Bepflanzungen ersetzt wurden) und die bunten Lichterbaloons installiert wurden - mit anderen Worten auch eine für Fans neu zu entdeckende Atmosphäre...
