Let’s have a look around the Disneyland Park and see all the changes they have made since our last stroll. Let’s start in Frontierland at one of the most beloved attractions; Big Thunder Mountain.
Getting a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain is high priority of many roller coaster fans. Cast Members however might get confused when to let the fastpass ticket holders on the ride as the clock from the Fastpass entry has been removed.
The young Indians who love to go for a play at the Pocahontas Indian Village playground in Frontierland will be happy that it has reopened. Guest will see some paint jobs done around the play area. The characters on the totem pole are showing some color in their faces again. This nice little hidden gem, missed by many guests, shines out with new brightened colors.
After viewing the changes at Frontierland we walk back towards the hub in front of the castle before we continue our walk to see some changes in Discoveryland. Many visitors will want to ride Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast first before they will notice the new kiosk, even if it is placed near the rides entrance. After blasting your way thru the new Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast ride Buzz invites you to visit this new food kiosk just outside the attraction. But look at the decoration on top of the food kiosk. There is something added upside down. The ball on top, carrying the artistic “D” has been added the wrong way around. Let’s see if Buzz can “blast” it back in the right position sometime soon, but first let’s continue our walk.
Want to see one of the parades? A good spot is always important to enjoy them. One of these spots loved by many guests is at the Castle Stage in Fantasyland. While the stage still shows all the Pooh decoration, it has been closed of to the public. The parade will now have to follow the route behind the seating area and in front of the Annual Pass bureau, leaving little place for guests to see the floats passing or to pass by when going either towards Small World or the entrance of Discoveryland
More closed of areas can be found at the far end of the Sir Mickey's - Le Brave Petit Tailleur shop in preparation for some rehab.
Signs, with a mixture of French and English have been put up at the “Casy jr, le petit train du cirque” and the “Story book cruise". For the French guests the attractions are open “aujourd’hui” (Today) but for the English guest it is open “tonight”. Might be a good idea for guest traffic control, but if this would be the new rule will bring tears to many children’s faces.
This brings us to the end of this tour, but with all the rehabs going on it will not be our last tour.
