Screamscape berichtet The Living Seas in EPCOT, Walt Disney World, würde im Verlauf des August erneut geschlossen, um weitere Elemente auf das "Findet Nemo"-Thema umzustellen. Laut Screamscape soll nun eine neue Fahr-Attraktion eingebaut werden, die wohl den Raum des bisherigen Pre-Show-Theaters ebenso wie den Bereich des nicht mehr genutzten Sea Cab Omnimovers übernehmen wird. Ein Eröffnungsdatum ist noch unbekannt, Screamscape spricht aber von April 2006, was für aufwendige Arbeiten spräche.
Das hat nichts mit dem Disneyland Resort Paris zu tun? Nun, vielleicht doch ... interne Quellen berichten uns, es soll sich um eine Findet Nemo Ride handeln, der in The Living Seas eingebaut wird ... Findet Nemo Ride ... Toon Studios in den Walt Disney Studios? Nun, unsere Quellen deuten NICHT an, dass die beiden Attraktionen identisch sein werden ... ABER sie sagen, dass einige der Special Effects, die für die Findet Nemo Fahrattraktion in den Toon Studios entwickelt wurden / vorgesehen sind zuerst in der neuen Attraktion in EPCOT "getestet" / eingesetzt werden sollen. Dazu soll unter anderem der East Australian Current Effekt zählen, der die Illusion von Luftblasen, die um den Gast wirbeln, mit einem Wet-For-Dry Effekt verbindet, wie aus der Nautilus Attraktion bekannt.
Dabei handelt es sich zwar um ein unbestätigtes Gerücht, allerdings würden durch ein solches Vorgehen die Entwicklungskosten aufgeteilt, so dass mehr Effekte für Paris entworfen werden können. Außerdem sollte ein solches Vorgehen sicherstellen, dass die Effekte vom ersten Tag an in Paris funktionieren. Ähnlich war man auch schon bei den Effekten für Space Mountain: Mission 2 vorgegangen - zumindestens einige von ihnen finden sich identisch im Space Mountain in Anaheim sowie in Hong Kong, die beide völlig andere Achterbahnen sind.

As you might have seen, Screamscape reported that the The Living Seas attraction at EPCOT in Walt Disney World will undergo another rehab as of sometime in August to continue further inclusion of Finding Nemo themed / based elements. According to Screamscape the latest closure is due to the addition of a new attraction which may incorporate the area currently used for the pre-show theater as well as the old (defunct) Omnimover sea-cabs. When will it open? Noone knows, but Screamscape mentions April 2006 indicating the scope of the work necessary.
Nothing of interest in regard to the Disneyland Resort Paris? Well, there might be something ... internal sources tell us that a Finding Nemo ride will go into the part of The Living Seas mentioned above ... Finding Nemo ride ... Toon Studios at Walt Disney Studios Paris? Well, our sources do NOT imply that the ride will be identical to the ride going into the Toon Studios ... BUT they say that some of the new special effects created / planned for the Finding Nemo ride in the Toon Studios will actually be "tested" / implemented first in the new ride for EPCOT. The effects in question include the East Australian Current effect which is supposed to include the illusion of bubbles swirling around the guests combined with wet-for-dry effects as found in the Nautilus walkthrough.
While an unconfirmed rumour this might mean that the development costs could at least be split allowing for more FX in Paris than without this deal. Also it should assure that the effects work properly from day one in Paris. A similar deal was already made regarding the special effects for Space Mountain: Mission 2. While the coaster in Paris and in Anaheim are totally different, both Mountains feature some identical special effects - for a bonus the one in Hong Kong also features the same effects.
