So wurde im Fantasyland endlich die langwierige Renovierung der Fassade und des Daches der Fantasy Festival Stage beendet. Zwar wurde die populäre Weihnachtsshow "Le Noel de Mickey" auch schon in den vergangenen Tagen im "eingepackten" Theater gezeigt, doch nunmehr können sich die Gäste auch an der aufwendig renovierten Fassade mit ihren zahlreichen bronzenen Details erfreuen.
Auch verschwunden ist das Gerüst rund um das Dach der ehemaligen Constellations Boutique und des ehemaligen Visionarium Gebäudes. Das Dach präsentiert sich nun in neuen, stärkeren Farben, die jedoch noch immer weit von dem Cartoon-Charakter der Toy Story Filme entfernt sind, auf denen die Buzz Lightyear Attraktion basiert, die hier im kommenden April eröffnen soll. Der Bauzaun rund um das Gebäude ist natürlich noch nicht abgebaut, der Zugang zum Discoveryland ist dennoch schon wieder erheblich breiter, nachdem in den vergangenen Wochen die Arbeiten an den Wegflächen nach und nach beendet wurden. Gleichzeitig wurde der neue Buzz Lightyear Shop im Inneren mit weiteren Details an den Displays und im Kassenbereich aufgewertet - ein noch immer andauerndes Projekt.
Good news from the Disneyland Park - in time for the bussy holiday season (significant numbers of schools will soon start their christmas break) scaffoldings are coming down.
In Fantasyland the extensive exterior rehab of the Fantasy Festival Stage has finally been finished. While the popular Christmas standard "Le Noel de Mickey" has been playing for several days already anyway, now guests are also treated to the meticulously refurbished exterior with gleaming brass details once again.
Another scaffolding has come down around the roof of the former Constellations Boutique and of the old Visionarium building. The new roof features brighter colors than before but still is a far cry from the cartoonish colors from the Toy Story series on which the Buzz Lightyear attraction is based, that will open inside the building next April. The construction walls around the ground floor of the building remain in place though, but the entrance to Discoveryland has already been widened again in the recent weeks as the repaving project here has been mostly finished. Also in the recent weeks the interior of the new Buzz Lightyear shop has been further decorated with details around the display areas and the registers - an ongoing project.
